Sources: Texas Tech Adds Kellen Buffington As General Manager

Texas Tech head coach Grant McCasland has hired Kellen Buffington as the team’s General Manager, per source.

Buffington is one of the most connected scouts and event organizers in the country. His amateur basketball events consistently attract the nation’s top talent and teams. His company TheTB5Reports was an early identifier of elite players like Cade Cunningham, Anthony Black, Keyonte George and Cason Wallace. Buffington’s deep ties to the grassroots scene gives Texas Tech a distinct edge over other schools in the state.

Buffington joins a staff that already includes Matt Braeuer, Achoki Moikobu, Luke Barnwell and recently announced Dave Smart. Grant McCasland built a juggernaut of a staff that should see long-term success in Lubbock.
