Former Florida and Samford guard Ques Glover is back in the transfer portal. Glover originally committed to BYU, but decided to re-open his recruitment after some discrepancies with his NIL package, per sources.
The 6-foot point guard averaged 14.7 points per game with Samford last season. He’s a proven veteran that immediately injects a spark into any offense. Due to the timing of his departure from BYU, a quick recruitment is expected. Here are three logical landing spots for Glover:
Illinois

The Fighting Illini have one scholarship left and need some backcourt depth. Glover would fit nicely as a capable three-point shooter next to Terrance Shannon, Jr. and Sencire Harris. Illinois was one of the worst three-point shooting teams in the country last season and would benefit from Glover’s ability to make shots.
Indiana

Indiana is in a similar position as Illinois – one scholarship left and needing a guard. The Hoosiers are banking on a healthy Xavier Johnson and a big jump from Trey Galloway this season. The addition of Glover would give Indiana the ability to spread the floor and create space for all of their athletic wings.
Kansas State

Kansas State is no stranger to short guards that can go. Markquis Nowell and Desi Sills carved up the Big 12 on their way to an Elite 8 last season. The Wildcats added Tylor Perry and return Cam Carter, but need one more piece to compliment Creighton transfer Arthur Kaluma. Glover could give the Cats up to four ball handlers on the court at any given time.
