Siena head coach Carmen Maciariello is hiring former Notre Dame assistant coach Antoni Wyche, per source.
Wyche previously worked for Maciariello from 2019-2021 before joining Mike Brey’s staff.
The Ballston Lake, N.Y. native returns to Siena after a two-year stint in South Bend. He was not retained by Micah Shrewsberry and was a hot commodity for jobs in the northeast this summer. Wyche was linked to positions at Delaware, Drexel and Towson, but ultimately turned them down.
Prior to his first stint at Siena, Wyche spent 10 years as an assistant at Lehigh. It was his first coaching position following a nine-year playing career overseas. Wyche played college ball at Notre Dame from 1995-1999.
Wyche replaces Derek Brooks, who left to take an assistant coach position at Air Force, his alma mater.
