Last Night’s Recap

Took the day off yesterday, but we’re back at it with four bets against the spread. We’re monitoring the O/U market closely as I think we’ll start seeing some more opportunities to take unders as lines become inflated.

Overall record: 9-10

Let’s dive into today’s picks.

Today’s Bets

Michigan +2.5 vs. St. John’s

UM Hoops.com | Michigan Basketball News, Recruiting and Analysis

We are all in on Michigan until they prove otherwise. The Wolverines just beat the brakes off two very good mid-major opponents and the Johnnies are still trying to get everyone on the same page after an preseason full of injuries. We’ll take the points while we still can.

Siena +4.5 vs. American

McCollum, Siena men's basketball excited for season opener at Holy Cross | Sports | dailygazette.com

This is a buy low spot for Siena after a blowout loss to Richmond the other day. The Saints were without Michael Eley and got news that Sean Durugordon’s waiver was denied. We’ll chalk up that performance as a fluke. American has a new coach and just lost by 19 to William & Mary. We’ll bet on the Saints to bounce back tonight.

Middle Tennessee -4.5 vs. Western Carolina

MTSU basketball: What to know as Blue Raiders open 2023-24 season

This is a double-situational spot to take advantage of. Western Carolina is coming off one of their biggest wins in school history. Now they have to go to Murfreesboro and play a Middle Tennessee team that simply refuses to lose at home. We’ve already bet on MTSU at home this year and it worked in our favor. We’ll go back to the well tonight in a classic letdown spot for WCU.

VMI/South Carolina Under 149.5

Tonight’s ShotQuality special features a total projected at 135.2 with 14.3 points of value. Set it and forget it. These picks are 1-1 overall.
