Mississippi State -7.5 vs. Tulane

The Bulldogs have lost two straight, but we like them in this spot against Tulane. The Green Wave are 6-1, but they haven’t played anyone inside the KenPom top-100. They lost their only game against a top-150 team as well. I expect Mississippi State to play well after sitting with that Southern loss for six days. Lay the points.

TCU -1.5 vs. Clemson

TCU had a week to prepare for an undefeated Clemson team that just won a huge home game against their in-state rival. I am the second biggest Clemson fan in the world, but it’s time to fade the Tigers. Lay the points.

Xavier +1.5 vs. Cincinnati

A couple of different angles here. Xavier has lost three straight and they’re 4-5 on the year. They’re the first top-100 team Cincy has played this year and last time Cincy went on the road (at Howard), they needed OT to win. A rivalry game featuring a team at home with their backs against the wall looking to hand their rival their first loss? Fire me up. Take the candy.

Utah +3.5 vs. BYU

For similar reasons listed above, I’m taking Utah against BYU. First true road of the year for the Cougs against their biggest rival. Take the candy in the Holy War.

Kennesaw State -2.5 vs. USC Upstate

The new-look owls have embraced Oats ball and are 6-3 to start the season. The biggest reason I like them against USC Upstate is their offensive rebounding. More possessions, more points. The Owls are 76th in the country in offensive rebounding percentage. USC Upstate is 345th in o-board rebound rate. KSU’s pace and ability to crash the glass will be too much for the Spartans. Lay the points with the short road favorite.
