Today’s Bets
Wright State +1.5 vs. Louisiana
With or without Trey Calvin, I like this play. Wright State should be able to get whatever they want at the rim and this is very much one of those “they’re due” games. We’ll take the points on a neutral floor.
Indiana -7.5 vs. Louisville
Auto-fade continues, despite the spirited effort from the Cards yesterday. Human nature is a b**** to overcome and I don’t see how Louisville picks themselves up off the mat after that heartbreaker. Lay the points with the Hoosiers.
Kentucky -15.5 vs. Saint Joe’s
The Hawks just lost to Texas A&M Commerce at home and have to turn around and play Kentucky at Rupp. They’ll either shoot the lights out and win the game or get blown out. We’ll take the latter. Lay the points.
UCF -4.5 vs. Charlotte
I don’t think this Charlotte offense has enough firepower to score with UCF. The 49ers are off to a good start under interim head coach Aaron Fearne, but the slow tempo won’t work with the Knights. Lay the points.
Marquette -6 vs. UCLA
UCLA has been too clunky on offense to keep pace with Marquette. The Bruins’ youth will show against a team that’s very comfortable with who they are. Lay the points.
California +3 vs. UTEP
Bounce back spot for Cal against a UTEP team that is feeling good after a 4-0 start. UTEP has two non-D1 wins, they beat UCSB without their best player and an Austin Peay team still trying to figure it out. Cal is the more talented team and we’re backing them here.
